This cute little runner was made from a kit purchased at Creative Sisters quilt Studio several years ago. This year, it made it to the top of the priority list to get finished. All of the fabrics are Christmas themed. I added in an extra inner border because I like the look of two borders. I quilted it with a design called “Christmas Paisley” by Ann Bright. The binding matches the inner border.
It is nice to have a new table runner ready for Christmas!
This cute little patchwork tote was made from leftover pieces of Kansas Troubles style quilting fabrics. It was then quilted very simply on a domestic machine with a walking foot. The separately pieced lining was added to the inside and then it was bound with a diagonal brown fabric that matches the added handles. It makes a simple, but attractive shopping tote.
This quilt stated with a line of fabrics in a kit. It came with a pattern, but I had a different idea, so made my own design, floating the blocks on point, and added two borders. The result is a simple, but pleasing quilt. It was quilted with a digital design call Damask by Anne Bright in a tan poly thread.
This quilt won Grand Champion, Machine Quilting at the 2017 Fergus Fall Fair in September and then won first prize at the District 7 competition. This means it will proceed to provincial competition in February 2018.
