2015-9: Autumn Strips Topper

autumn-strip-table-topper

This little topper started from a few leftover blocks to which I added sashing and then two borders.  It is quilted with one of the blocks from the Majestic Pines group of patterns by Donna Kleinke of One Song Needle Arts.  The warm brown binding echo the medium brown in the strip pieced blocks.  A quick and easy project that will make a nice hostess gift for the right person.

2015-8 Chicken Hot Pad

This little Hot Mat was a quick and easy project that was inspired by the scrap of fabric with the chicken printed on it.

2015-6 Shadow of the Goose

Shadow of the Goose

This small quilt was created as a challenge from my modern quilt guild to use triangles.  This might be more contemporary than modern, but I like it anyway.  The colored triangles are made from jewel toned fabrics. The shadow is densely stitched with Superior Magnifico thread.  It was fun to do and makes a great wall hanging for my quilting studio.
