When my friend Jacqueline cleaned out her stash, she gave me some partially pieced Quilt As You Go blocks. Jacqueline vaguely remembered that they were intended to be table runners, so with that bit of information, I finished the blocks and assembled them into table runners.
Since I do not like the hand sewing that goes along with the Quilt As You Go assembly method, I mounted the runners along with another backing onto the longarm and quilted them with a gold metallic stipple. The metallic thread gave a festive air to the table runners. Binding of this runner was done by machine with the same fabric as used in the sashing.
The finished runner was donated to the “Hand Made” silent auction at the Rosseau Fall Fair.
